eduroam is the primary Wi-Fi network for use by students, faculty and staff. It provides a secure, authenticated connection with the best performance options available in your location. It is the best option for all laptops, desktops and smart devices.

Berkeley-IoT is provided as a Wi-Fi service for devices that are not able to connect to eduroam or are of a basic, automated nature.
